Today is my Dad’s favorite holiday and I know so many feel the same way. The only thing to focus on today is enjoying friends and family and good food. No expectation of buying gifts for this holiday, just spending the gift of time.
With all of the craziness in our everyday life I feel it’s really important to take the time and think about all you can be thankful for. Focus on all of those positives today and give thanks to the people in your life for being who they are.
I’ll be off to my Aunt’s house today for a huge family dinner that we haven’t had in years. Now that all of us cousins are adults it hasn’t been easy to get everyone together. I’m not sure on the full guest list but I’m hoping some of the babies will be there for me to play with 🙂
Now dinner may be at your house and hopefully you are taking some mini-breaks to catch your breath and enjoy cooking. It feels weird not to be cooking any big meal this weekend at all. I’m pretty sure this is the first year ever that I haven’t. So while I won’t have the leftovers calling my name and ruining my diet, I have years of repurposing those leftovers for future meals. Look for a bunch of recipes over the next few weeks for your holiday leftovers.
With the recipes posted on the site I will also have a special launch of a new product. I won’t be announcing it until tomorrow and will have a huge Black Friday sale for it. If you want to be first to get it, just go sign up for the frugal party tips newsletter and you’ll get the notice at midnight. The deal will only be for 24 hours and then it will change. The price will go up and different bonuses will be added for Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.
Lot’s going on so like I mentioned above, it’s a good day to focus on family and friends. I will be taking that advice as well. Now to go figure out what to make the family for breakfast.
Never worry about what's for dinner again. I've got you covered with the meal plans in the Once a Week Cooking Club. Cook once, eat all week.
