We drink a lot of smoothies in our house so I’m always on the hunt for new twists. Usually it’s the kids that are engineering something different, especially my youngest. He’s not afraid to toss just about anything in the blender if he thinks it will work and he’s not afraid to drink it.
There is no fear in trying this recipe as you can tell by the ingredients. To change it up even more you can substitute pecans and pineapple juice.
Peach and Almond O J Smoothie

Ingredients
- 1 C orange juice
- 1 C frozen peaches
- 1 frozen banana, cut into small chunks
- 2 Tbsp toasted slivered almonds
Instructions
- Pour the juice into the blender.
- Carefully add the peaches and banana.
- Add the almonds.
- Blend until smooth.

I love all of the ingredients in this recipe but would probably have to sub out the OJ as it has too many carbs for me. Probably would use soymilk.
