It’s day 15 of the Cook Easy Foodie Cooking Challenge. My topic for today is “What is your favorite organization tool?””
I have a few must haves that come to mind when I think of my meal planning. But none of them are expensive. Of course, I have my weekly meal plans that I created and pull from constantly. As I run out of items we have a Dry-Erase Board that I write things down on so I make sure to get them the next trip.
But the most important organizational tool I have for my meal planning is paper. Plain old paper. Keeping track of what is in the freezer means we are using it. Nothing is more wasteful than a freezer that is full with food you didn’t know about.
I take inventory of our freezers about every 3 months. Possibly every 2 now that I don’t have a chest freezer. Then I also have a list with the meals planned with those meats and with the meals I’ve created in the last few weeks. Since I’m down to 2 little freezer sections I’ve had to be really on it. I just keep a running list on the freezer door and cross it off when we’ve used it.
Never worry about what's for dinner again. I've got you covered with the meal plans in the Once a Week Cooking Club. Cook once, eat all week.
