Hello tax day. I hope you aren’t scrambling to get yours done. I was a big procrastinator and got mine in last night. lol We definitely don’t want to get me started talking about it since our daughter turned 17 last year and that took away the child credit. Didn’t know that happened? Yeah me either, there went a $1000 bucks we could really use right now for prom and graduation, let alone college stuff.
Anyway, all the more reason to be going through and using up everything in the freezer, fridge and pantry. I want to get everything gone and start fresh in May. I’m on a mission. A lot of the items in the freezer right now are more of a winter food. I’m ready to jump into lighter spring/summer fair and get meats prepped ahead for grilling.
I also only have to plan for 6 meals. We’re going to the Tacoma Rainiers game on Friday so I’m sure we’ll be eating there. I think our tickets come with a free hot dog. I better plan on those chili dogs for dinner tonight if we have hot dogs again this week. YIKES, that never happens.
This weeks meal plan is:
Chili dogs and salads
Baked pork steaks, stir fry veggies and fried rice
Turkey spaghetti and some hot Italian sausages
Chicken Wings – yes, we’re going to have appetizer for dinner. I’ll have to figure out a hearty side dish to go with it.
Sorry, pressed for time so I can’t look up where the recipes are that I used.
Just by taking this stuff out of the freezer makes a big dent. I can probably move everything into one freezer and get to cleaning the extra one.
Never worry about what's for dinner again. I've got you covered with the meal plans in the Once a Week Cooking Club. Cook once, eat all week.
